Shelley Solomon Joins MTSA Staff
Shelley Solomon has been named administrative assistant to the president and dean/program administrator at the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia (MTSA). In her new role, Solomon will support MTSA's President and the Dean in the day-to-day operations at the school. She replaces Martie Hansen who recently retired from the same position.
“I’m honored to welcome Shelley Solomon to MTSA,” said Dr. Kenneth Schwab, President of MTSA. “Her wealth of experience in school administration and teaching in various educational environments will be an ideal addition to our team.”
Solomon has more than two decades of experience in the educational field, including work with schools in both the United States and Canada. Most recently, she was principal of College Heights Christian School in Lacombe, Alberta. She also served in administrative roles for three private schools in California.
Prior to that, she worked for the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference of Seventh-day Adventists for nearly a decade and taught at College Park Elementary School in Oshawa, Ontario, and Greater Nashville Junior Academy.
“It’s exciting to join a school like MTSA, which has a strong reputation as a leader in high-quality education for nurse anesthetists,” Solomon said.
A member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), Solomon earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Social Work from Union College in Lincoln, Neb.
